Study Purpose
The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of your immune system on blood platelets, which are cells that circulate in the bloodstream and help form blood clots. Blood clots are important if you are bleeding, but when platelets are incorrectly activated, strokes and heart attacks can occur. We will perform studies from blood samples to determine whether platelets are activated at the same time as SLE disease activity.
