Purpose of the Study
The purpose of the study is to identify environmental factors, dietary factors, genetic factors, and other factors that contribute to the development of Barrett's Esophagus and esophageal cancer in both individuals, and particular families and to screen first-degree family members (parents, siblings, and children) of an affected individual with upper endoscopy. This study will also develop new test for helping doctors diagnose and manage these diseases.
