Slate Bretz, BA
Slate Bretz, BA, is a clinical research specialist at University Hospitals Connor Whole Health. Slate received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Spanish from The Ohio State University. Previously, Slate served as the Project Coordinator for a well-being program called “Mindfulness in Motion (MIM)” at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Slate plays a critical role in developing, implementing, tracking and supporting practical research to advance the field of integrative health and medicine. The projects she currently works on utilize music therapy for patients with sickle cell disease, COPD, and heart failure. She works to recruit and consent patients for research study participation. Additionally, Slate focuses on boosting social media engagement for Connor Whole Health and developing content. She is very interested in preventative medicine and would like to become a physician that utilizes holistic approaches to provide compassionate care for her patients.
In her free time, Slate enjoys participating in a variety of endurance athletics. She is primarily a distance runner and enjoys racing both marathons and ultramarathons.
