Fatima Malik, MD
Fatima Malik, MD, is a pediatric mind body specialist with the UH Connor Whole Health pediatric integrative medicine team. Dr. Malik earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Dr. Malik is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, certified in General Pediatrics and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She has received training in pediatric clinical hypnosis by The National Pediatric Hypnosis Training Institute (NPHTI). She holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Malik is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include pediatric hypnosis, relational health and promoting parent-child nurturing relationships to support child resilience, and integrative management of pediatric chronic illnesses.
As a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Malik works with children ages 0 – 18 years and their parents in the integrative treatment of chronic illnesses including, but not limited to, chronic GI, asthma, neurological, pain, and headache disorders. She also works with children with ADHD, behavioral problems, and bonding issues. Often referred to as a “behavioral pediatrician”, Dr. Malik also helps families with their relational health. She uses hypnosis and biofeedback when treating her patients.
