Sarah Murrin, LPMT, MT-BC, DIR-P

Sarah Murrin is a board-certified music therapist with University Hospitals Connor Whole Health, serving inpatients at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. She works closely with the Palliative Care team and Med-Psych team there. Sarah has previously provided music therapy services for clients in addiction recovery, neurodivergent individuals in the community music school and public school settings, pediatric and adult patients in the medical setting, older adults experiencing memory loss, and terminally ill patients in hospice care.

Sarah graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Baldwin Wallace University with a Minor in Psychology. She completed her music therapy internship at MusicWorx Inc. in San Diego, CA. Sarah recently earned a certification in DIR®, making her the only DIR® Music Therapist in the state of Ohio. This model offers a framework that promotes healthy development by building engagement, communication, and understanding in a respectful manner.

Sarah focuses on offering musical experiences that embrace all aspects of the human experience. Outside of clinical work, she enjoys playing the double bass, making art, and walking in nature.
