Hope Ezell, LPMT, MT-BC
Hope Ezell, LPMT, MT-BC, is a licensed professional and board-certified music therapist with University Hospitals Connor Whole Health, providing services for inpatients and outpatients at UH Cleveland Medical Center and UH Seidman Cancer Center.
Hope earned her Bachelor of Music in music therapy and graduated summa cum laude from Cleveland State University. She completed her music therapy internship at UH Cleveland Medical Center before joining UH Connor Whole Health in 2021. Her clinical training included providing therapeutic experiences in nursing homes, early childhood programs and schools. She previously worked for the Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and Dayton Metro Library systems in various roles, including circulation and early childhood tutoring.
Working from a humanistic and culturally informed approach, Hope’s passion lies in honoring the beliefs, traditions and experiences of patients, using music as a vessel for empathy and connection. She is passionate about equitable access to quality maternity care, Black women’s health, and supporting the quality of life of those living with sickle cell disease. She is trained in the Sound Birthing method for prenatal and postpartum music interventions. Hope has been serving on the expressive therapies department’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee since 2022.
Outside of clinical work, Hope enjoys writing and performing, preserving bouquets, and hosting brunches for her friends and family.
