Forrest Paquin, MT-BC, LPMT
Forrest Paquin, MT-BC, LPMT, is a licensed and board-certified music therapist with University Hospitals Connor Whole Health. She uses an integrative approach to support inpatients in acute care, behavioral health, orthopedics, palliative and hospice care, as well as outpatients, community support groups and staff at UH Portage Medical Center.
Forrest earned a bachelor’s in music therapy with a minor in psychology at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has previous clinical training and experience providing music therapy services within institutions such as the Jimmy Fund Clinic Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Bradley Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital. She has provided therapy for adult patients in nursing homes, addiction recovery and inpatient settings. During her studies at Berklee, Forrest collaborated with the music therapy department to initiate community music therapy for a day shelter for the homeless.
Forrest also has received training in music from The New School: Mannes College of Music and The Jazz School and studied musical theater at Circle in the Square in New York City. During her nine years living in New York City, she also worked with adolescents and young adults using music, acting and dancing vignettes to promote self-expression and awareness, advocacy and coping tools in the Anti-Violence Musical.
Forrest is passionate about advocating for her field, helping others and growing as a professional. She has over 20 years of experience performing, with a focus on voice and violin, and enjoys improvisation, songwriting and playing covers.
Outside of clinical work, Forrest enjoys being with her family, making art, yoga, and playing in her band.
