Joan Odhiambo, LAc

Joan Odhiambo, LAc, is a licensed acupuncturist at University Hospitals Connor Whole Health. Her special clinical interests include mental health and women’s health, particularly during pregnancy and the postpartum period and she is currently completing extensive training in that area of focus. Her wellness philosophy is to empower and educate patients in understanding their bodies and becoming better advocates for their own well-being.
After completing her undergraduate education at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, Joan went on to earn a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine including Chinese Herbal Medicine from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) in Boston, Massachusetts. She then completed clinical internships at Boston Medical Center’s Pediatric Pain Clinic and Family Medicine departments, treating a range of conditions from musculoskeletal to autoimmune conditions. Additionally, she completed a clinical internship at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts where she treated veterans with a range of pain conditions in both outpatient settings and at an inpatient nursing home facility.
She is a nationally certified diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a member in good standing of the Ohio Acupuncture Association.
