Vascular Rehab: Find Relief and Increase Strength

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) causes pain, cramping, burning and a tired feeling in the legs even when walking a short distance. Our vascular rehab program assists patients with motivation and coaching during supervised treadmill-walking exercises designed to improve muscle tone, function and walking distance. Vascular rehab is typically a 12-week program.

Candidates for Vascular Rehabilitation

  • Diagnosis of peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
  • Intermittent claudication when walking
  • Arterial revascularization procedure (lower extremity bypass surgery, angioplasty or stent)

Benefits of Vascular Rehabilitation

You don’t have to figure out how to manage PAD on your own with our team of healthcare providers dedicated to supporting you on your health journey. The American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology recommend combating PAD with a supervised walking program. In addition to medically monitored exercise, our vascular rehab patients receive personalized education and instruction in nutrition, stress reduction and smoking cessation.

  • Increase your muscular strength and walking endurance
  • Reduce your risk of PAD progression and chance of hospitalization
  • Gain behavioral reinforcement skills and social support

Vascular Rehab Locations
