Jori Mintz
As Director of Foundation Relations, Jori Mintz is responsible for a team of fundraisers that support the pursuit of competitively sought funding for the entire University Hospitals Health System. Jori directly supports the UH Research & Education Institute in its mission to secure research funding for UH investigators.
Jori joined the Department of Institutional Relations & Development (IRD) in March 2017 and took over leadership of the Foundation Relations team in 2018. In her leadership role, Jori is focused on solicitation of potential external and philanthropic funding from local/regional/national foundation and local/state/federal government sources. She drives funding strategy and funding pursuit for system priorities around clinical-, translational-, and health services research in partnership system leaders. The Foundation Relations team raises more than $10 million annually in competitively sought funds to support the health system.
Jori previously held the position of Government & Community Relations Manager in the UH Office of Government Relations. She obtained her Masters of Urban Planning, Design and Development from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University.
Prior to joining UH, Jori had more than 10 years of experience working in economic development, government relations and grant writing. She has secured more than $100 million in competitive funding for UH and the other organizations she has supported.
