Surgical Pathology Fellowship
University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University, offers an ACGME-accredited Fellowship Program in Selective Surgical Pathology, which provides extensive training in diagnostic surgical pathology utilizing an annual volume in excess of 55,000 cases.
Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program Training
The Surgical Pathology Fellowship allocates twelve weeks of elective time to allow for concentration in one or more areas of interest. Fellows will rotate on the following subspecialty services:
- Bone and soft tissue pathology
- Breast pathology
- Cardiac pathology
- Gastrointestinal pathology
- Genitourinary pathology
- Gynecologic pathology
- Head, neck, and thoracic pathology
- Medical renal pathology
- Neuropathology
- Pancreatobiliary and liver pathology
- Pediatric and perinatal pathology
Surgical Pathology Fellowship Requirements
Applicants must have completed requirements for primary certification in anatomic pathology (AP) or AP/clinical pathology (CP) before the start of this fellowship.
Types and Numbers of Appointments
Two fellowship positions are available per year.
