University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center
UH Cleveland Medical Center is a 1032-bed academic, tertiary care medical complex that is the center of a rapidly growing 23-hospital system across the Northeast Ohio area. It has been affiliated with Case Western Reserve School of Medicine since 1895. Since 2015, it has served as a Level 1 Trauma Center.
UH Ahuja Medical Center
UH Ahuja is a 144-bed community hospital that opened in 2011. Ahuja is home to outpatient orthopaedic clinics and ORs where we perform a variety of orthopaedic procedures – from arthroscopy and same day total joint arthroplasty to community trauma cases. It is also the home of the new Drusinsky Family Sports Medicine Complex. which includes a performance center, rehabilitation space, and a walk in clinic. Additionally, 8 new ambulatory operating rooms will be built to increase our outpatient experience.
UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s
UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Northeast Ohio. It is a 244-bed pediatric hospital that makes up part of the UH Cleveland Medical Center complex. The hospital is one of the largest providers of pediatric health services in the state. In 2021, Rainbow placed nationally in 8 ranked pediatric specialties. Our orthopaedic department is routinely ranked among the top 20 in the country. Our pediatric orthopaedic rotations are world class with a vast exposure to various pathology.
Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center
The 693-bed VA is located less than a mile from UH Cleveland Medical Center. As the fourth-largest VA medical center in the country, it serves as a major referral center for the region. The resident experience at the VA occurs during the PGY-3 (4 months) and PGY-5 years (2 months). These rotations provide our residents an extraordinary opportunity to gain autonomy and provide care for our nation's veterans.
MetroHealth Medical Center
MetroHealth is a Level 1 Trauma center that serves as the hub of Cleveland’s public health system that receives 150,000 yearly ED visits. Resident rotations are 2-4 months long gaining additional exposure to hand, sports, trauma, and spine while at MetroHealth. A brand new $1 billion, 11-floor, 355-bed hospital was just completed and has been operational since early 2023. This new addition contains state of the art facilities including updated ORs, patient rooms, and conference centers to assist with providing excellent patient care.
