Primary Care Sports Medicine Lecture Series
Weekly lectures are provided by the sports medicine faculty and guest speakers on a wide range of topics geared towards CAQ preparation. All fellows participate weekly in this lecture series and are responsible for preparing one lecture per year for their colleagues.
MSK Ultrasound Lecture Series
Weekly lectures taught by AMSSM MSK US faculty member. AMSSM online ultrasound curriculum is reviewed in conjunction with assigned reading before lectures. Hands-on teaching of the topic is then reviewed directly with an attending at a 2 fellow : 1 faculty ratio.
Sports Medicine Journal Club
Quarterly we participate as a large group with all fellows and attendings getting together to review articles that are relevant to our daily practice. The goal of journal club is to learn to critically evaluate the literature.
Fellows Lecture Series
All fellows participate in hospital-wide lectures that occur once per month on topics that range from quality improvement to risk management to safety training. The foundation of this series is an educational retreat that focuses on teaching fellows to be teachers.
University Hospitals Health Sciences Curriculum
All fellows partake in a University wide initiative to provide education about Health Sciences. This curriculum educates fellows and faculty on Leadership, Stewardship, and Population Health. The different aspects of the curriculum are performed longitudinally over the second half off the academic year.
