Continuing Medical Education

The UH Division of Colorectal Surgery offers Continuing Medical Education (CME) options for physicians and clinician team members at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. These CMEs are sponsored for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ by the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine CME Program. Formats include live meeting events and regularly scheduled conferences as well as scientific journals and recorded presentations distributed online.

In addition, the Division of Colorectal Surgery at UH Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland works in conjunction with the Institute for Surgery and Innovation (ISI). The ISI is a Level I training institute that provides skills training for students, residents and practicing surgeons. This specialty institute also fosters a multicenter research group that performs leading-edge clinical trials in various surgical disciplines and creates and tests new technical products.

Each month, the ISI offers a course for surgeons on laparoscopic colorectal surgery. The wait list is generally around nine months long, so we urge interested physicians to sign up early to learn this advanced technique.

Grand Rounds

UH Cleveland Medical Center's Division of Colorectal Surgery regularly offers grand rounds led by our distinguished researchers and surgeons. We cover advancements in medical technology and treatment of colorectal diseases, as well as innovative ideas, groundbreaking discoveries and clinical trial results.
