Patient Experience Reviews
A good experience. Dr. Dawlatti is always professional and caring
I am seeing this provider for metastatic cancer treatment. He has been very good about explaining options to me and when he can, he gives me a choice of which direction to go, after explaining the benefits and risks. He's helping me a lot.
The best
Excellent care and follow up for my Cancer and lung breathing problems.
Very good
I appreciate Dr Dowlati's patience with me while I blabbered on during this appointment.
All good
Excellent provider, staff.
Excellent doctor with immense expertise in his complicated field, coupled with a comforting style with the patient that has helped the patient both physically and mentally.
Dr Dowlati & his staff are excellent. I owe him my life! Would highly recommend!!!
I feel like initial plan of care was developed but never really talked to Dr about other options, long term prognosis
I am very happy with my medical team at U.H.
I'm thankful for Dr Dowlati because I'm still alive! Also, he has good ideas about what's going on with me health-wise outside of my cancer diagnosis. That helps me with achieving a better quality of life.
Compassionate team
Dr. Dowlati is very thorough, very compassionate.
Excellent care
I am blessed that this provider is my doctor.
I highly recommend Dr. Dowlati for small cell cancer clinical trials.
Dr Dowlati was very good. He explained everything and answered every question. He was very thorough and very patient and an exceptional Dr. I liked him very much. I would choose him again if I ever had to see a Dr at UH.
I'm appreciative of how Dr Dowlati responds and acts in a non-judgmental manner.
I was referred to Dr Dowlati by my Oncologist, for a second opinion. He was very nice and very knowledgeable . He explained things very well and suggested have my procedure done there at UH. And I agreed and so did my Oncologist who referred me. He has much respect and trust in The Dr Dowlati and Dr ***. And I and my husband were satisfied with our visit there and had much respect and trust In both Drs and the procedure and the counseltation with Dr Dowlati
Excellent visit Very patient oriented

Have had wonderful care with my medical team at UH
I found the Dr very pleasant, personable and knowledgeable. The staff was very friendly as well.
Dr Dowalti and his team are the hold standard in patient care if you put together a dream team for helping patients through their cancer journey this would be the team He is kind and an expert as are his team members
Dr. Dowlati and his team were incredibly helpful and sensitive to my concerns related to my cancer medication treatment plan.
Dr Dowlati's care has been consistent as I'm always steered in the right direction.
Given Dr Dowlati's high energy but calm presence, I never leave an appointment feeling low. His guidance in my treatment is assuring to me. I'm super fortunate that he's been my oncologist for years with a diagnosis that was frightening at the beginning.
Dr. Dowlati is the best oncologist I have ever seen. He explains the situation well and the options that are being considered. He always asks if I have any questions. His team is also very professional, caring and thoughtful.
I'm relieved to have an oncologist like Dr Dowlati on my side to help find a path forward.
Excellent doctor & staff!!!!
The doctor was exceptionally empathetic, kind and knowledgeable. He took great care in explaining everything. Answered all of our questions. I can understand why we had to wait. It was worth it. He gave us his business office card and advised to call that number immediately if I took a turn for the worse and they would get me in within a day or two. As it appears the chemo is working he did not want to stop something work. This visit was a referral appointment from my current oncologist.
Good care
Dr Dowlati is overly skilled in the nuances of treating cancer and I'm thankful for it.
Excellent and thorough.

Understanding Clinical Trials: What You Need To Know
Keeping up on the latest medical research can be a benefit, but the sheer amount of information – and the sometimes contradictory results – can be wearying.
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
