About
Antonio Sotolongo Fernandez, MD, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Sotolongo is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University before earning his medical degree with highest honors from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. His postdoctoral training included an internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Center. After, he completed a second fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Sotolongo has special clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation. He has authored publications and presented at professional conferences on related topics in this field. He is also an active member of distinguished national organizations including the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
Dr. Sotolongo is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish languages.
