Patient Experience Reviews
I was impressed by Dr Ziao, and his assessment of my health condition.
Dr Zhao was very specific in his explanation of the type of procedure he recommended that would best suit my needs as a patient. He was extremely nice in covering news that wasn't the easiest to receive at times. Dr Zhao was most professional and was genuinely concerned about my condition. He made sure that all of my questions and my wife's, were completely answered. I am thankful to be under Dr Zhao's care.

Always had good experience with the people here.
He was great! The staff at the office is fantastic too. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days and ALL my nurses and techs were fantastic! UH is a great great medical institution. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Dr. Zhao is a wonderful, caring doctor. He gave me all the time we needed. We discussed my issues and he answered all of our questions. He was very pleasant any easy to talk. He was very positive. His staff, the nurses, Annie the Social Worker and Jessica the Co-ordinator, were all very nice. Dr. Puk, Dr. Zhao's colleague was also fabulous! Extremely engaging and positive. They all combined make a spectacular team.
*** Dr C are great to work with!
Doctor was thorough, explained all, allowed me to ask any questions. He gave answers to all questions asked.
Dr. Zhao said that an appointment for the procedure will be scheduled in the near future. Overall, it was a good experience as he seems knowledgeable and is aware of my medical issues and history.
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
