About
Anthony Zampino, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Case Western Reserve University / University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, a neurologist at UH Lake West Medical Center, and a proud Cleveland native.
Dr. Zampino received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Akron before completing medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). He then completed his neurology residency at Case Western Reserve University / University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he also served as chief resident. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine, which is his current specialty.
Dr. Zampino is involved in the clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows. He has a special interest in the use of neuromuscular ultrasound to enhance traditional electrodiagnostic testing and research for autoimmune neuropathies such as Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), as well as exploring its use in clinical trials for chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).
