About
Madelyn Stevens, MD, is a fellowship-trained otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon at University Hospitals. She has special expertise in the areas of head and neck cancer, microvascular reconstruction and robotic surgery.
Dr. Stevens earned her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. She completed her residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, and additional specialized training completing a prestigious fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Dr. Stevens is passionate about providing excellent care for patients with head and neck cancers. Clinical interests including complex head and neck cancers, skin cancer including melanoma, and endocrine and salivary surgery. She is a specialist in microvascular free flap reconstruction and the use of the latest robotic surgery techniques.
Dr. Stevens is active in clinical research, with interests in patient outcomes and quality improvement. She is also invested in medical education and maintains active roles within the medical school and residency program. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented her research at national and international professional meetings and conferences. She serves as a reviewer for multiple national journals and grant-funding and is an active member of multiple professional organizations including the American Head and Neck Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
