About

Faezeh Sodagari, MD, is a radiologist specializing in breast imaging in the Department of Radiology at University Hospitals and is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She is affiliated with the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Case Center for Imaging Research, and the University Hospitals Health Services Research Center.

Originally from Tehran, Iran, Dr. Sodagari earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She completed a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at Northwestern University's Department of Radiology in Chicago, a preliminary general surgery internship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, and a four-year diagnostic radiology residency at Yale University in New Haven, CT. She then pursued a one-year fellowship in breast imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.

Dr. Sodagari has authored several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has presented her research at national and international conferences. She is an active member of several professional radiology organizations, including the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and the Association of Academic Radiology (AAR), and serves on multiple committees within these organizations.

Her research focuses on leveraging technology and health services research to enhance patient access to high-quality breast imaging services. Dr. Sodagari is dedicated to improving patient outcomes by developing and evaluating innovative imaging techniques and solutions for breast cancer detection and treatment response assessment.

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
