Great

I was very happy with the care that I received from the doctor and his staff, but it is frustrating and nerve-racking to wait almost 45 minutes for an appointment to begin the office. Ask you to be there 15 minutes early, which I was, and it was Past 40 minutes later when they finally called me

Staff and Dr. Are very courteous and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that every time I called due to problems with my back even after surgery it took another 8 to 12 weeks to see him .

I just wanted to say out of the 4 drs I've seen in the last few months, he was definitely the best. Only one I recommend. He actually explained things to me in a way I understood. Dr s don't act like they care anymore, or even talk to you about medical concerns you went there for. He was great, very happy with him

I felt I was working with a resident and doctor in a different league of care providers than others I met with previously and elsewhere. I was in awe of resident *** keen eye to diagnose a problem within minutes as he reviewed a recent *** that my local radiologist missed (a different healthcare system). And I felt valued by Dr. Smith's swift action to immediately arrange a referral to a vascular neurosurgeon in his department. I have renewed hope for my future because of these two incredible people I view as my saviors.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
