Patient Experience Reviews
Dr Sexton was very responsive with prompt communication in the MyChart messaging app
I am very happy with the care that I receive from Dr. Sexton. She listens and answers all the questions I have.
I was ill when I visited Dr. Sexton for my RA exam and she was good enough to address my health concern and treat me for my illness. Dr. Sexton is a phenomenal physician and goes above and beyond to ensure that her patients reach their optimal health. I consider myself fortunate to have her on my team of physicians and thank Dr. *** for making it happen!
Dr.Sexton is a great doctor I love her! She and her staff always make me feel comfortable and answers all my questions. This time she did have a resident with her and he as well made me feel comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about her. I came to her with pretty bad symptoms and she gradually brought me back to wellness. I am forever grateful and she continues to monitor my health. I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff.

Dr Sexton-Cicero was my provider from 2002. I moved to *** in 2007 and continued to see her during trips back home. It became difficult to see her so found a rheumatologist in ***. I returned to *** in 2023. I saw another rheumatologist that was very disappointing. Dr Sexton-cicero is the best!

I could not ask for a better physician than Dr. Sexton. She is worth her weight in gold. She is knowledgeable, patient, caring and kind. She goes above and beyond what most physicians do for their patients, taking home your records to read and study, calling you after office hours and truly caring about what she does. We need more doctors like her.

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
