Dr. Schapiro is a wonderful, caring physician. I feel so fortunate to have found her.
I saw Dr. Shapiro for the first time. I needed a new internist and she was recommended by Dr. Moini. I was very pleased with her manner, time spent with me and discussion of my health concerns. She ordered x-rays. The results of the x-rays were posted on My Chart, but I wanted to discuss the information with Dr. Shapiro. I called the office. Her nurse returned my call the next day, I think. I told him I would have liked the doctor to call me. He communicated the message that she had referred me to a Pain Management specialist. She is a very fine doctor and I am pleased to have her as my new Internist. However, I do like to talk to my doctors directly if requested.
Dr. Schapiro is terrific. Don't ever let her go!
I absolutely love Dr. Schapiro. I get the best care from her that I have ever gotten from an UH doctor in a very long time. It is refreshing to have a doctor again who cares and answers all of my questions. Though she was running quite behind for my appointment I don't mind and would never mind as I can tell she is giving others as quality care as I will receive from her as well. Despite her lateness, she always spends quality time with me and appears to care about all of my concerns and answers them thoroughly and in understandable ways. She even gave me printouts of the appointment as well printed out exercises for me to do regarding my torn calf muscle when my appointment was originally for talking about blood work results. She is a doctor I never want to lose.

The doctor was totally wonderful. As far as trying to get an appointment my regular physician was booked everytime I called to get in. The woman that answered the phone was rude and not helpful and acted as though she didn't care. I had to go to the minute clinic 2 times before this appointment.

Excellent experience! Dr Schapiro immediately diagnosed my tennis elbow and bursitis. She discussed options (draining or compression sleeve until heals or not). She even brought in another physician for consultation and weighed risk of bacterial infection of immediate draining or not (chose not). Very professional and much appreciated

My husband is a "hot mess" medically and she has put a wonderful care team in place for him.
