About

James Ramicone, DO, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute and serves as president of the medical staff at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center. He is also a clinical assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Ramicone earned his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His postdoctoral training included an internal medicine residency at Brentwood Hospital (now Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights) followed by a cardiology fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey. He then further honed his skills with a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

Dr. Ramicone is board certified in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology with special expertise in pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) procedures, catheter ablation and cardiac arrhythmia management. He has more than 23 years’ experience diagnosing and treating common and complex heart rhythm disorders such as atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, tachycardias and bradycardias.

Dr. Ramicone was born and raised in the greater Cleveland area and is a proud graduate of Padua High School. It has always been important to him that he provide medical care for people in the communities in which he grew up. He spent several years practicing with North Ohio Heart, Inc., in west side suburbs and subsequently has been a member of the medical staff at Parma Hospital since 2004.

Dr. Ramicone is an active member of national professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.

These types of surveys are waaaay too long. Shorten them up and make them more applicable to the specific provider. (i.e. Cardiologist, orthopedic, etc.)

Dr. Ramicone follows me primarily for my pacemaker needs and we primarily discussed that and any concerns related to It as I near my first replacement. He also "keeps an eye on my overall cardiac status as well. I must add that having the devise clinic and the nursing staff available Is very reassuring as well. ***
