Luis Augusto Palma Dallan, MD, PhD, is an interventional cardiologist and structural heart disease specialist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Dallan obtained his medical degree in Brazil. He completed fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Heart Institute, University of Sao Paulo (InCor), Brazil. Following that, he obtained a PhD in Health Sciences at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and then completed a post-doctorate in cardiovascular Imaging at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. As part of his postdoctoral training, Dr. Dallan also completed a two-year dedicated fellowship in advanced interventional cardiology and structural heart disease at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center with exceptional academic performance.

Dr. Dallan is the recipient of numerous honors, awards and research grants, and has contributed to several peer-reviewed scientific publications. He has authored more than 150 publications and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for scientific journals. He has been an invited speaker and faculty member in major international interventional cardiology conferences.

Dr. Dallan is an active member of internationally distinguished organizations, including the Brazilian Society of Interventional Cardiology (SBHCI) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).

Dr. Dallan is nationally and internationally recognized for his technical expertise in complex and high-risk coronary interventions (CHIP), particularly in intravascular imaging, as well as for structural heart disease interventions, with a focus on transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and left atrial appendage closure (LAAC). His clinical and research activities focus on complex coronary interventions and structural heart disease with special interest in optical coherence tomography (OCT), TAVR and LAAC.
