About
Clint Oommen, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and endovascular specialist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute.
Dr. Oommen earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. His postdoctoral training included an internal medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He completed a cardiovascular medicine fellowship and was appointed chief fellow, then followed with an interventional cardiology fellowship, both at University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson. After practicing for four years, he returned to Cleveland to further enhance his skills with an advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology and endovascular therapies at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Oommen is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, with clinical interest and expertise in limb salvage and amputation prevention for patients with advanced vascular disease. He has authored publications in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, and Circulation. He is also an active member of professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Heart Association (AHA), and Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).
In his free time, Dr. Oommen enjoys traveling, snorkeling and gardening.
