Patient Experience Reviews
Dr.O is amazing but the admin staff at this site are the rudest I have ever experienced. I'm a new patient and have thought about seeing another practice because of the terrible/rude service which I've experienced while visiting for my daughter and now my son, in trying to schedule appointments. Truly the worst in my life, there is really no reason for it. But Dr. O and the nurse team are really fantastic so I don't want to leave them because it's hard to find a doctor team like them.
Dr. Occhinero was delightful as always, very compassionate and willing to listen and answer all questions!
I love Dr O's office so much, the staff on this appointment was amazing, I walked in they were having fun and so friendly and I love it that they remember us. The nurse/receptionist also got my whole family set up with everyone being on the same my chart! Seriously they are the best ever!
Dr. Occionero was great with our kids! He made them feel comfortable and excited to be there, even though they were not feeling well. We appreciated his care! He was efficient, thorough and kind.
Dr.O and the nurse were phenomenal! I brought my son in for a cough and they diagnosed it as an ear infection and Dr.O took the time to sit with me and show me a model of how an ear infection can create the cough. Dr.O was also great with my son and made the visit fun.
Dr. O was wonderful and got us a same day visit to a pediatric surgeon for a consult.
Dr. O is always willing to listen to our questions and concerns and does an amazing job answering them in terms we understand and actually talks to my son like a real person and not just to me, his mother. I would highly recommend Dr. O!
This is the first time we met Dr. Occhionero and we were VERY impressed! My son was absolutely miserable and he was able to bring a smile to his face. Thank you!
He is an excellent physician ***
We always love seeing Dr. Occhinero. He is kind and compassionate and always comprehensive.
We love Dr. O!
Amazing doctor and staff. Been seeing them for over 17 years and they have been wonderful with my children
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
