About

Robert Mosteller, MD, FACC, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute, directing cardiac electrophysiology services at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio.

Dr. Mosteller earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. His postdoctoral training included an internal medicine residency at Akron City Hospital, where he was named Resident of the Year, followed by cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at Harper University Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Mosteller is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He is also a diplomate of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology with special competency in cardiac pacing. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of common and complex heart rhythm disorders.

Dr. Mosteller began his medical career as a staff cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Akron Cardiology Consultants and Summa Health System, where he rose to direct the cardiac electrophysiology program. He then went to MetroHealth Medical Center as director of the Cardiac Telemetry Unit before joining the Cleveland Clinic as a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at the Richard E. Jacobs Family Health Center in Avon. Dr. Mosteller eventually joined the team at North Ohio Heart, Inc., and has continued seeing patients in the Westlake area for almost a decade.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mosteller enjoys teaching the next generation of physicians. He has held the position of clinical assistant professor at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. For his excellence and dedication as an educator in the medical field, he received Teacher of the Year and Teaching Excellence awards from MetroHealth Medical Center, as well as two Teacher of the Year awards from Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital.

Dr. Mosteller is a member of national professional organizations including the Christian Medical Association, Northeastern Ohio Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology and Heart Rhythm Society. He has received recognition as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
