Patient Experience Reviews
All ok
Dr Mayuga and her team are always very nice and caring.
Very good
I love my doctor she cares about my health.
My doctor and her staff are exemplary. I feel like I'm in very good hands and love the conversation.
I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Mayuga and staff.
The cardiologist is very nice and listens very well to what is going on. She spends a good amount of time with me and I have no complaints.
Good experience, however, the wait was longer than I expected (60 minutes) due to a medical emergency situation for the dr.
Great job by everyone!
It was all good they were friendly and polite and talked to me.
Dr Mayuga is an exceptionally thorough and caring physician. She discusses her recommendations in an easy to understand manner. She has helped me tremendously. My husband and I both are her patients and travel an hour each way to seek her expertise. We, and UH, are fortunate to have her as part of our healthcare team.
She and her staff were very caring and professional.
Dr. Mayuga is the best!
Was very professional and answered all my questions.
I really liked my cardiologist. She was very thorough and showed concern for my health condition. I was very impressed with the time she took to explain everything that is going on with my heart.
*** I'm grateful for the care.
I thought the provider was wonderful ***
Great Doctor, nurses and support staff ***
Dr. Mayuga is a very good doctor and very smart. I was very impressed with her skill and knowledge. I did not think there was a problem, but she did testing and found something for which I was thankful. We are blessed to have her looking out for us!
Very satisfied with my visit with Dr. Mayuga.
The dr was amazing, I felt heard for once. The people at reception were talking about me openly when I walked in to check in
Dr. Mayuga and her Nurse Kathy are awesome. They are very thorough and cares for my total health. Thank you for these two medical professionals.
Good experience
Great experience under trying circumstance
Patient care was excellent. ***
Dr Mayuga, a second generation cardiologist, is an excellent communicator and is extremely thorough including ordering tests before procedures as well as routinely updating to determine, for example, my current cholesterol level. She is working now to determine if I may safely receive steroid injections to reduce pain levels I experience from polyarthritis given I am a *** patient and examining prescribed meds from other UH sources to determine if they pose a problem for my heart.
Even though nobody checked on me, while I was waiting for the doctor before they left the room, she said the doctor was running behind. This was my very first time meeting with the doctor, and she was personable and kind and explained everything to me. She was sensitive to my anxiety and feeling, overwhelmed by the number of recent diagnoses, and all the testing I have been doing.
Dr Mayuga tried to understand my concerns and help me learn what was significant and what was not. She addressed each concern I mentioned.
Very thorough provider.
I waited a long time for the doctor, but she spent a good amount of time with me, s I understand.
This was my first visit to Dr. Mayuga. I couldn't have been happier with my experience, her concern and suggested next steps to evaluate my symptoms and possible solutions based on the results of future tests.
Provider was very good ***

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
