Sundeep Kumar, MD, is a general and interventional cardiologist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute.
Dr. Kumar earned his medical degree from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. His postdoctoral training included an internship and residency at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, Florida followed by a cardiology fellowship at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He then completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Kumar has nearly 15 years of experience in the medical field, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of the full span of common and complex heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart valve disease, cardiomyopathies and congestive heart failure. He has also co-authored publications in peer-reviewed medical journals on topics related to managing patients with valvular heart conditions, heart failure and cardiac arrest.
In his time away from work, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, watching movies and playing chess.
