About
Jerald Katcher, MD, is the Director of Radiation Oncology at the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at Southwest General Health Center, 18697 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130. His office can be reached at 440-816-6048. Dr. Katcher is Assistant Clinical Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Katcher is board certified in radiation oncology. His special interests include bone cancer, breast cancer, head and neck cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, genitourinary oncology, gynecological oncology, melanoma, thoracic cancer and palliative therapy. He was named to the UH Seidman Cancer Center medical staff in January 2001.
Dr. Katcher earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, where he graduated magna cum laude, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as chief resident.
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Katcher has published scientific papers on the use of radiation therapy in prostate cancer, lung cancer and lymphoma. He is also an active participant in state and national medical meetings, presenting both invited talks and peer-reviewed posters.
Dr. Katcher is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.
