About
Manasvee Kapadia, MD, is the residency program director in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University. She is assistant professor in the Case Western Reserve University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, a member of the Center for Anterior Segment Diseases and Surgery in the University Hospitals Eye Institute and Staff member at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center. Dr. Kapadia has completed two residencies in ophthalmology, one in India and the other at University of Washington, Seattle.
Dr. Kapadia joined faculty at Case Western Reserve University in 2006. She worked at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in downtown Cleveland from 2005 to 2012 before joining the VA Medical Center in 2013 and UH Eye Institute in 2014. She has worked closely with residents since 2006. She was appointed residency program director in 2015. Since then she has worked passionately to advance the program.
Clinical and Research Interests
Dr. Kapadia’s primary interest is comprehensive ophthalmology with focus on glaucoma, retina and anterior segment. Having done a double residency, she has developed a great insight in treating patients with complex comprehensive problems. Her main asset is providing compassionate care to patients. She is interested in clinical research involving outcome measures of cataract surgery and glaucoma management. She is involved in research at the VA Medical Center.
Teaching
Dr. Kapadia is committed to teaching residents. Her primary goal is to train residents to be competent comprehensive ophthalmologists with great clinical and surgical skills. She also strives to train them to be compassionate and empathetic physicians. She is a mentor to multiple residents in the program.
Industry Relationships

We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
