About
Irina Jaeger, MD is a board-certified urologist at University Hospitals and an assistant professor of urology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. In addition, she also serves as Director of Community Outreach for UH Regional Hospitals – in this role she actively helps to organize screenings and educational events at local community organizations and churches.
As a general urologist, Dr. Jaeger sees patients with a wide range of urological disorders, from the most common to highly complex. Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), stone disease, overactive bladder in men and women, testicular pain, sexual dysfunction and urologic cancer. She is trained in the most advanced treatments and techniques available including UroLift® and the GreenLight laser procedure for BPH – both of which are minimally invasive and often same-day procedures to restore normal urine flow in men with this condition.
Dr. Jaeger attended the University of Maryland where she earned both her undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in molecular biology. She then attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine to earn her medical doctorate. After medical school, Dr. Jaeger completed residencies in general surgery and urology at UH Cleveland Medical Center. After beginning her career at Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Jaeger joined the medical staff at University Hospitals in 2016.
Fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian, in her free time, Dr. Jaeger enjoys reading, traveling, practicing hot yoga and spending time with her husband and two children.
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Irina Jaeger did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
