Julia Heng, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor and senior attending physician at University Hospitals Madison Health Center (Madison, Ohio). Her areas of clinical focus include diabetes, hypertension, women’s health and preventative medicine.
As an undergraduate, Dr. Heng attended Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology in 1985. After obtaining her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1990, Dr. Heng went on to complete a residency in family medicine at St. Mary Corwin Medical Center (Pueblo, Colorado) in 1993.
Dr. Heng is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Ohio Academy of Family Physicians and Ohio State Medical Association, among other professional societies and organizations. Outside of work, Dr. Heng enjoys reading, gardening, traveling with her husband, and trying out new restaurants with friends.

I just moved to *** and found Dr Heng who was accepting new patients. Her practice accepted my health care insurance and I immediately made the appt with her and was able to see her very shortly after I called to make an appt with her. This was the first appt I had with her and my daughter attended the appt with me. There was such a difference between mds In *** that I had seen compared to meeting with dr heng! Dr Heng was extremely respectful, caring and to the point! Both my daughter and I were very impressed and appreciated her knowledge and outstanding helpfulness. Dr. Heng and the nurse were outstanding as always.
This was the best service I have ever had from this office. Previously, when it was Lake Hospital System, when I had an injury the receptionist would NOT under any circumstance give me an appointment. She would always say: "I'll let you talk to a nurse." The nurse would tell me to take Tylenol or go to the ER. Nothing was ever on my chart that I had called. I could only see the doctor if it was time to refill Rx. This time I got right in the same day and saw the dr. It's Wonderful!
