About

Dr. Rana Hejal graduated from American University of Beirut in 1988. She completed her residency and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at University Hospitals Case Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Dr. Hejal’s career encompasses a wide range of clinical, educational and leadership roles. She has won several teaching awards, including the prestigious Master Clinician in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Hejal is director of the medical intensive care unit at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, which, under her leadership, is a consistent Beacon Award winner.

Dr. Hejal’s area of expertise in pulmonary medicine focuses on advanced lung disease, including interstitial lung disease (ILD) and sarcoidosis. She focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to treating ILD patients and is actively involved in ILD clinical research.

We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
