About

Revital Gorodeski Baskin, MD, is a licensed endocrinologist and Director of the Obesity Program at the Diabetes Metabolic Care Center at University Hospitals. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gorodeski Baskin graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University and completed her medical school education and internal medicine residency at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She completed her endocrinology fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Gorodeski Baskin worked as faculty in endocrinology for over a decade at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. During that time Dr. Gorodeski Baskin specialized in diabetes and thyroid diseases, and developed a niche in obesity management.

Dr. Gorodeski Baskin is a member of the American Heart Association’s Obesity Committee in the Council of Lifestyle and Cardio-Metabolic Health. She also has extensive research experience, featured in Rapid Medical Research, New England Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University.

Her research interests range from thyroid cancer management to obesity care. Currently, she is involved in clinical research with a focus on obesity management in the form of shared medical visits. Her program is in collaboration with the departments of thoracic surgery, organ transplant, heart failure and fertility management. Along with her research, Dr. Gorodeski Baskin has participated in several poster presentations, peer reviewed publications, and educational lectures relative to cardio-metabolic care.

Dr. Gorodeski Baskin was phenomenal! She was so kind, empathetic and understanding. She throughly explained everything and made sure I understood what she was saying. She took the time to listen to me about my health concerns and to answer all my questions. I was so impressed with her relaxed and caring manner and I will highly recommend her to everyone. She is exceptional!
