Patient Experience Reviews
I'm going to follow Dr. Giffen to his new practice at Western Reserve Hospital because I like him so much that I want to remain his patient. He's so incredibly kind, caring, compassionate, understanding and knows how to allay any fears I might have. He's one of THE BEST urologists I have ever had. Western Reserve's gain is UH's loss.
Best Doc I currently see for my bladder cancer. Thanks for all of your help.
Doctor Giffin is a great doctor. I hate to see him leaving UH
Excellent care.
Dr. Giffen has been excellent in his care of me. His surgery on me *** produced great results.
Dr. Giffen WILL BE MISSED at UH Urology !!!
I was extremely impressed by his skills helping me resolve my health issues regarding his specialty.
Dr. Giffen is patient, thorough, clear in his explanations and is an excellent provider. I'm glad he's my urologist.
Always good, Doctor Giffen is easy to talk too
Met Dr. Giffen for the first time, since Dr *** retirement. I was very impressed. He referred me for x-rays and followed up within 2 days.
As good as possible.
Dr. Giffen always takes the time to listen to what I have to say and takes my concerns and opinions into consideration. I am appreciative of how he interacts with me and handles my case.
Dr Giffen has a caring, interested manner as my doctor. He explains thoroughly what my medical condition is and what we can do ensure my good health.
Dr. Giffen was very thorough and attentive to my questions and concerns. He took the time to explain things fully to me in a way that was easy to understand and he will now be my primary provider for urological care. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Provider did not give me a reason to be upset about anything
Good
Excellent Dr.
Happy with this medical office
Seems to be a caring Dr.
Excellent doctor and office staff
Good experience
Great experience.
Received friendly and professional care.
My experience with the provider was excellent. The nurse who saw me and prepped me for my in-office procedure was also excellent. There were no unreasonable delays. I rated my provider with a 10 but your question states that a 10 is for the "best possible provider." How could anyone really know that without experiencing all existing providers in this field!! I do know that he has made a huge difference in my well-being and there is nothing whatsoever that is deficient in what he has done for me.
Dr. Griffin and his staff are all great people to work with
Excellent doctor and staff
Very thankful this man is my Doctor .
Dr. Griffen is an excellent doctor. My only complaint was the check in procedure. ***
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Zane Giffen did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
