Andrew Filiatraut, DO, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton and graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internal medicine track internship, as well as an internal medicine/emergency medicine residency at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center. Dr. Filiatraut has been appointed Program Director of the UH St. John Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. He was a member of the Critical Care Committee at UH St. John Medical Center from 2005-2007. During his residency he received two awards for Outstanding Resident of the Year.

Excellent scheduling process for ct scan
I feel very comfortable with my doctor and his staff. He and his staff are the best
I have always liked Dr. Filiatraut. He has always showed concern and talks to me as aprofessional. I am a knowledgable RN with 40 plus years experience. His LPN, however rubs me wrong with her know it all attitude and made an important medicaion error when sending px off to mymail away pharmacy. When the office switched to the EPIC proram it was the my yearly It was Ivisit Px renewal day. It was not going well. Patients do NOTwant to hear how "bad" or disorganized their day is going. That is not reassuring. When returnng phone calls, I can sometimes hear Dr. Filiatraut in the background and wonder if I'm on speaker phone. I would have rather spoken to him in the first place. I don't think she doesthat well when speaking to more intelligent type people. My friend discontinued going to that office due to run ins with her and missed diagnosis of gall bladder issue. He is still with UH but much happier with curren provider.

Dr.Filiatraut is the best. I've never left an appointment feeling like I wasn't heard and my concerns have never gone unaddressed. He makes you feel like you are his only patient. I have never felt like I was asking a "stupid question " because he explains things that are easy for someone who doesn't have a medical background. Hands down the best doctor I've ever had.

Dr Filiatraut has always been exceptional. He is patient when I am resistant or hesitant about a medication or procedure. I take no medications and he knows that is not my "go to". But he always patiently explains why I should have a test or consider a treatment. I trust him implicitly.

Dr. Filiatraut is a national treasure. I am a female and at least 25 years older than he is, yet I feel like he "gets" me. This is rare. He radiates kindness. He asks the right questions. The nurse wasted time asking off topic questions. She seemed to be unaware of why I was there. She spent too much time asking about the past instead of my current reason for the visit. She made me feel uncomfortable.
