Patient Experience Reviews
Dr. Deng is wonderful. He spends time with me and answers all our questions. We never feel rushed or that he's in any hurry to move on. He's very caring and knowledgeable of my health.
Dr. Deng is definitely an expert in his field. He is very intelligent but can rely the information in lay man's terms. I really appreciate that he cares enough to create a special and specific treatment plan just for me. He is not quick to just start trying "the next available option ". He communicates with other top professionals and really scours his resources.
*** My doctor is very good but the support staff is utterly lacking in professionalism.
No issues.
All good ***
Wonderful and caring doctor who listens to the patient and gives one all the time they need!
I was in the hospital and this was a follow up visit. Why does it take so long to get the results the doctor needs to set up the care the patient needs to get better. I am still waiting for biopsy results after almost two weeks.Additionally everyone should be able to discuss your care. I was told numerous times the person, nurse I was being called by they would have to check and call me back. I didn't always get a call back,.Also if the patient is given an after visit summary it should be correct.Good doctor, my complaints are with the process.
Explained what future treatment might be depending on what the PET scan would show. He prepared me and saw my positive reaction.
Exceptional experience with the whole process. I am switching my primary care to UH because of this experience. Thank you for being amazing

Dr. Deng and his team were professional, knowledgeable and respectful.
My experience was very positive. The news was not a happy one for me. All staff were completely pleasant and helpful. I have no complaints. ***
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
