Patient Experience Reviews
Dr. DeOliveria is very kind and compassionate and takes all the time you need for questions. He's the best!!
Really liked the nurse and Doctor. ***
He was great
I arrived at the office thinking I had an appointment but due to my error, arrived on the wrong day. The receptionist, wish I could remember her name, went above and beyond. This young lady spoke with Dr De Oliviera and he made time for me. When I realized I had the wrong day I half expected to be turned away but this young lady made it happen. Dr D was great and so was the receptionist. Your lucky to have her.
My experience was excellent! Doctor and staff were very professional and made you feel like family!
I was given the upmost respect. The doctor took his time & explained everything to me. He answered all my questions.

Really excellent doctor. Very kind, concerned and professional.
This was my first experience with Dr. S. DeOliveira. I felt he had my interest at heart and tried to explain why I needed a pacemaker and what it was. It took me awhile for this news to sink in, and he gave me the time to check it out with Dr. Elgendy and our Health Care persons. *** Everyone I met at UH Geauga Hospital has been very respectful, caring and professional. Thank you!
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
