Dr. D'Amico is the best. I rate him A++ He listens to everything I have to say/ask and never rushes me. I use My Chart and he always messages me on any ordered lab test that's above or below normal & suggests what to do.

It was routine. After I met with Dr. D'Amico, His nurse, *** came to see me with my paperwork for follow up appointments, referrals and blood tests. She always greets and sends me off with a smile. She treated me like she remembered me and knew who I was. It makes the visit more comfortable.

It was refreshing to have someone really listen to me. I hope he stays around. I had Ashley Head who I thought was wonderful and was sad to see her go.

I always enjoy my conversations with Dr. D'Amico, and he'll explain qustions I may have or order a blood test as in my recent visit which was unremarkable and alleviated my medical concern. Plus with his demeanor I feel relaxed in our back and forth dialogue

It was my first visit and I felt comfortable. The doctor was easy to talk to and that put me at ease. By being male, I asked him some questions that I never asked the female doctors, and I was glad I did. He gave me straight answers and helpful advice.

Very good experience. Everyone seem very caring. I switched from Cleveland clinic to University Hospitals for that reason. Cleveland clinic after many years were not helpful to my health and not caring how I feel.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
