Patient Experience Reviews
I was very happy with the care I received. I would recommend the breast center to anyone asking for advice.
It was a very good experience
Excellent care and response time. I was very impressed.
Excellent
Everyone involved in my care during my breast biopsy was caring, compassionate and made sure I was as okay as possible. I'm so thankful for them getting me through the biopsy. Since my diagnosis was positive for breast cancer, I'm hoping the future appts and care I receive is as good!
Mary, [...] the RN and [...] the receptionist were all amazing. So nice, very helpful and they arranged absolutely everything for my biopsy. They were just great!
I was provided the information to make an appointment (as pe my request).
NO COMPLAINT, EXCELLENT PATIENT CARE.
I love Mary. She is very caring and knowledgeable. Makes you feel so comfortable and at ease.
I was there for breast cancer followup. Mary was excellent and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed.
Everyone from the time I walked in the door was kind, supportive and professional. I would (have) recommended the Breast Center already.
Everyone I encountered with were very pleasant and willing to assist.
Very nice
The provider was excellent!! I'll be returning in the future to see her. ***
It was a very scary day for me. My first mammogram followed by ultrasound and then a biopsy that I did not know I was going to be getting that day but so thank ful I did. Absolutely EVERY SINGLE PERSON I came in contact with was incredibly kind. My nurse during the biopsy held my hand and talked me thru everything. The physicians concern and fast action to get me scheduled so fast was nice. I felt seen and taken care of that day. I appreciated everyone so much.
The entire staff was extremely helpful and informative. I had to have a procedure and it was explained in detail and thoughtfulness every step of the way. The nursing staff and mammogram techs were kind, courteous, and thorough. The nurse held my hand and told me what was happening during each step. Mary Cvitcovic called me immediately after receiving the results and laid out the plan. I was most impressed.
The team at university hospital was excellent from start to finish.
I really like Mary Cvitkovic - she is definitely my preferred provider in the Medical Oncology office
I must say the Doctors, Nurse and X Ray technician was excellent!! My anxiety was on an high. And they made it so relaxing. This was one of the best experiences that I had in a long time. Thank You All So Much
Mary CNP ensured I had extra anti-nausea pre-meds before my chemo. That was immensely helpful. Lynn RN/Dr Cynthia Owusu's nurse, always helps me get everything scheduled. She's wonderful!! All of Dr Owusu's nurses are so helpful. That is so much appreciated when you're exhausted from chemo.
All your employees have ALWAYS so pleasant and helpful. Keep up the GOOD WORK!!!
I like Mary, kind, caring and a joy to talk to
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
