Patient Experience Reviews
Extremely knowledgeable Doctor
Great doctor!!!
Good
I felt cared for and felt like a team of people would be handling everything
Dr Costedio is the absolute best! She is so patient, listens to what you say and is so very thorough in her exam and explanations. I had a procedure done the day of my appointment and she explained everything she was doing. Kim, her nurse, was also very pleasant and very precise in the homegoing instructions. I did have to wait a while before seeing the doctor but it was well worth it because I know that she gave me all the time I needed, just as I'm sure she gives to all her patients. I have recommended her to others and I really can't say enough good things about her. All I can say is thank goodness for her, she has helped better my life.
So happy with the Doctor and her staff. The Doctor recognized the problem needed to be fixed by starting from the beginning. The previous doctor insisted I need a colostomy bag during my visit. I went for a second opinion with this new doctor. She asked questions and explained realized that I should have a nine-week pelvic rehab program, which I never had. And go from there after she receives the results. Also, Instructed Me to start taking Medi Musil. She relived my fears and stress and assured me we need to take one step at a time and not jump to conclusions on what needs to be done to solve my problem. So glad I went to her.
Dr. Costedio is an excellent doctor and surgeon with a kind personality.
Amazing and grateful that I found her.
Dr Costedio and her entire staff are AMAZING. I highly recommend her!!!

Excellent care. I would recommend her 1000%.
Great doctor. Great care. In reviewing the report after my visit I am not quite sure it is totally clear what exactly is wrong with me and what will be done to correct it. I think I am in a wait and see until next appt.
Dr. Costedio and her team are the best!! Everyone is so kind, caring, knowledgeable, and always take the time to explain and answer my questions!
Dr Costedio and her staff are simply the best!
Dr. Costedio & staff was awesome & professional.
Dr. Costedio showed true concern with the issue I was experiencing. I have never met a doctor who cared so much and tried so hard to get to the bottom of the issue
Best doctor experience ever!
Life changing appointment. She saw me as a whole person. Amazing care team.
This doctor and her staff have given top notch service both in hospital and in followup in her office.

Dr. Costedio has qualities I wish more people had - empathy, kindness, and integrity. I truly trust her took look out for my health and do what is best for me.
Outstanding experience including every staff member I encountered. Dr Costedio and her staff were tremendous.
No matter how bad my situation and no matter how unpleasant the news that Dr Costedio has to deliver, I ALWAYS feel much better and I know that things will work out after seeing her. Only doctor that I have ever had that I can say that about.I also know that, short of the good lord coming down from on high and performing my surgeries Himself, I'm in the best possible hands when Dr Costedio is doing the slicing and dicing.
Dr Costedio and her staff were very nice and very efflcient dr Costedio made me feel very comfortable and less nervous after talking with her.
I have been seeing Dr. Costedio *** Has been doing my recommended pouch scope. Wouldn't go anywhere else. I'm very blessed to bs a patient of hers,
Dr. Costeido was very caring and personable at this, my first appointment with her. It was a difficult diagnosis/treatment for me to process. I am very nervous about having surgery, but she explained everything in detail and made it sound like the quality of life for me would imuch mprove. I feel like she is definitely very qualified. The fact that she did the same surgery with my long-time family provider who I highly respect, gave me confidence too. It was a very good experience.
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
