About
Ryan D. Christofferson, MD, MBA, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute, with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex coronary heart and peripheral vascular conditions. He also serves as director of interventional cardiology services at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio.
Dr. Christofferson earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, followed by his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. His postdoctoral training began with an internal medicine internship and residency at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He then completed both general cardiology fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Christofferson also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Christofferson served as interventional cardiologist and medical director of cardiovascular services at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio. He has performed hundreds of routine and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), including STEMI, peripheral vascular and carotid procedures. He has expertise in echocardiography, nuclear and echo stress testing as well.
Dr. Christofferson is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He has authored multiple publications in textbooks and medical journals. In recognition of his clinical experience and dedication to advancing the field of interventional cardiology, Dr. Christofferson has been named a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
