*** I really only have good things to say about Dr. Callahan and my experience with her during this visit. She took the time to listen to my concerns, and explained things in terms that anyone could understand. This was my first visit with her, and very likely will NOT be my last. We need more docs like her.

My experience was very good.
Everything went well, starting in the waiting room. By the time I paid my copay and updated paperwork, I was in a cubicle. Dr. Callahan listened to my comments and questions and answered each one. One question was about an allergic reaction to the sunscreen I was using. Dr. Callahan provided two samples of sunscreens for sensitive skin. We discussed the timing of my next follow-up visit, and I made that appointment on my way out.

The reason she didn't sit is only because I welcomed in another Dr. Who was finishing up her residency and a student my wife was also in there so 5 people in a small office wasn't allowing room to sit. Just my wife sat. I hate having to deal with skin cancer, my appointments with Dr. Callahan are a pleasant as she can possibly make it. I appreciate that more than anything.
Excellent visit. Dr Callahan is personable, didn't rush through the visit and answered all questions. Front desk staff is friendly and immediately addressed me when I came into the office, quite a refreshing change from previous visits to UH Dermatology offices.

I appreciate the relationship I have with Dr. CAllahan. I never feel that I can't share with her my concerns or fears. Melanoma is a scary skin cancer that I have been fighting for nearly ten years. Between her and my former oncologist, Dr. Hamad, I think they have kept me from experiencing more relapses.
