About
Ezequiel Borgia, MD, MS, is a pediatric rheumatologist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. He is fellowship trained in pediatric rheumatology and lupus, and has expertise in treating autoinflammatory diseases, childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus, juvenile arthritis and other pediatric rheumatologic diseases. He is also board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Borgia earned his medical degree at the Universidad Nacional De Cuyo in Argentina, and received his residency training in general pediatrics at Dr. Humberto Notti Children´s Hospital in Mendoza, Argentina. He did a Pediatric Rheumatology Clinical Fellowship at National Children’s Hospital in Buenos Aires and a postdoctoral lupus fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children/University of Toronto. Dr. Borgia later received additional residency and fellowship training in pediatrics and rheumatology at the University of Florida - Gainesville.
Dr. Borgia is active in pediatric rheumatology research and has authored several publications, including books chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts, and has presented his research at local, national and international conferences and meetings. He has served as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology, Arthritis Care & Research and Lupus.
Dr. Borgia is a member and participates in research working groups of several national and international professional organizations, including the American College of Rheumatology, the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance, and the Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology.
