About
Courtney Batt, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified adolescent medicine specialist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s. She is also board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics and is board-eligible in obesity medicine. Dr. Batt is also an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Batt’s special clinical interests include weight management and eating disorders in the adolescent patient, gender affirming care and transitions of care from pediatric to adult medicine.
After she obtained her undergraduate training at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in cellular neuroscience, Dr. Batt went on to earn her Doctorate of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. She further advanced her training at Children’s Hospital Colorado where she completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine. She also participated in a Physician’s Obesity Medicine Course and is currently eligible for board-certification in that field.
An accomplished and prolific educator, presenter and writer, Dr. Batt lectures locally and nationally on topics related to her expertise. She is also the author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters.
Dr. Batt is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine, the Obesity Society and the Obesity Medicine Association.

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
