Bob and Ann Gillespie Master Clinician in Oncology
Like many who have been treated for cancer, Ann Gillespie and her husband, Bob, understand the toll the devastating disease has on those diagnosed and those who love them. To help, the couple established the Bob and Ann Gillespie Master Clinician in Oncology at UH Seidman Cancer Center in March 2018. Their gift, augmented by support from the Dr. Donald J. and Ruth W. Goodman Philanthropic Fund at the Cleveland Foundation, will advance clinical oncology through the work of inaugural appointee Janice A. Lyons, MD, Director of Breast Cancer Services, UH Department of Radiation Oncology.
Endowed Chairs, Directors and Master Clinicians are prestigious titles at University Hospitals which are awarded to leading physicians and administrators, recognizing profound contributions in healthcare and the potential for continued innovation. They are sources of support, providing dedicated funds for research, education and training in perpetuity. And they are, above all else, inspiring reminders of our community’s generosity, each a lasting legacy for individuals and families that will endure for generations.
