The right choice is LASIK!
LASIK surgery is a quick (the surgery itself takes only about 30 seconds per eye!), affordable (we accept cash, check, credit card and financing plans are available), patient-friendly vision correcting procedure. This elective surgery is performed on an outpatient basis at either our eastside (Mentor) or Westside (Westlake) location, and requires minimal recovery time—most patients resume everyday activities the following day, including driving.

LASIK (Laser-Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis) is a quick, patient-friendly vision correcting procedure that will reduce the dependency on glasses and contact lenses. Laser surgery can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. This elective surgery is done on an outpatient basis and requires minimal recovery time—most patients resume everyday activities the following day—including work and driving.

At the University Hospitals Laser Vision Center, our Lasik coordinator will walk with you every step of the way—educating you about the benefits of Lasik surgery, guiding you throughout the pre-op assessment, informing you about your surgical options, phoning in your surgical prescriptions and finally, coordinating your payment options. We’ll also arrange your follow-up appointments and ensure your yearly general ophthalmology exams are on schedule.

Considerations on a case-by-case basis are recommended for patients with HIV, herpes simplex or herpes zoster of the eye or eye injuries and other past trauma to the eye area.
