Dr. Onders is extremely well informed about diaphragmatic paralysis and has provided so much info to me so I can understand or can also make my decisions easier with future care. ***

Getting my medications into the computer took a considerable amount of time. The system didn't seem to have recorded the pre-signup information. My only concern about the meeting with Dr. Onders is that the hernia he operated on has recurred, which I suspected -- and which was the reason for my appointment.

It was my first time seeing this doctor, and he made me comfortable right away. His bed side manner was excellent! I really like him, and plan on maintaining him for my Primary Care!

Dr. Onders apologized for the delay. *** it was worth the wait because he took his time with me and made sure to explain everything in great detail. I would highly recommend him to family & friends, as I was by the PT team at Precision Orthopedics in Chardon.

Dr Onders was very thorough and professional as was his nurse and staff. I will be getting a complete abdominal reconstruction after I lose approx. 35 lbs.

I enjoyed talking with Dr. Onders. He explained what possible options were available for treatment and what would be involved. He plans to do another test before talking about any surgical procedure. He was very good at explaining good and bad that could happen with treatment options. After I have the test done he said he would call me to discuss what he thinks should be the next step in treatment.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
